I wasn't born a cynic. I used to be naïve,
to think the system that we work for didn't work to watch us bleed.
But I've seen far too many CEO's greasing MP's hands,
so that their crude-oil drilling companies could rape some foreign land.
There's distain in the air, as the people flock like sheep,
towards the doors of local job centres to be thrown out on the street.
“I'm sorry you don't have the qualifications that we seek,
but there's a zero-hour job for you at sports direct next week”.
When all it takes is for you to look just outside your door,
to see the quarter of a million-people left sleeping on the floor.
To see that it's not right and that we're not deluded,
in a world that's run by business men, equality is not included.

There is no freedom in a world that's run by corporations,
corrupted governments bribed to change the legislation.
Big banks being bailed out by the countries where we pay our taxes,
despite all that, they have they put our lives under their axes.

They take all that they have because they think that they deserve
the kind of power you and I would never suffer on this earth,
To manipulate and maim, they force us into wars;
they justify the murder of countless millions for their cause.
It's the capitalistic greed that bleeds the good out of our nation;
people stepping over corpses for the latest iPhone generation.
Voice screams from the TV screens 'you can have it all'.
Your confidence and beauty you can buy them at the mall.
Your conditioned false reality makes commodities out of you and me,
fractured shells of humans, just another tool of industry.
Your arrogance is worthless if the people won't comply
and if this system doesn't work, then why the fuck should I?
